A day in the Den!
Chandler and I taped for Dragons’ Den over the weekend at the CBC studios in Toronto (for Make It & Ole Originals). It was an exciting, nerve wracking, and exhilarating experience! Overall the Dragons were pretty easy on us but we can not disclose the results until (and if) the episode airs this fall. Here are some pictures of us right before our shoot. We are smiling despite our hearts beating 200 bpm!!
We wish we could share more information but we signed a confidentiality agreement.

Around Vancouver: Raw Canvas
Paige Faraci and Steve Merkley

What is Raw Canvas?
Raw Canvas is a progressive culture that challenges the status quo. We
celebrate diversity while recognizing that we are all one. We are the
renaissance; art, food, wine, music, poetry, love, community.

Where did the idea originate?
There’s a really cool spot in HK called Art Jam. The seed was planted
there. But really, it came from our hearts and from our passion to help
people to wake up to a new kind of living.

Designer of the Week: Giulia Fatica

What do you make?
I make reversible leather belts made from recycled vintage leather. Each belt is backed with silk taken from old ties and vintage upholstery. I also make scarves made from strands of thread. A new item that I just started making for Spring are silk flowers barrette’s for your hair made from recycled silk. Every thing I make is hand made by me in my Vancouver home. All items are one of a kind, no two items are ever alike.
When and why did you start?
